The 10^th European Symposium on Biopolymers (ESBP 2019) will take place at the Rittersaal of the Herzogschloss in the beautiful city of Straubing (94315), Germany from the 25^th–27^th September 2019.

ESBP 2019 brings together leading experts from both academia and industry to share knowledge and insight into the challenges
and opportunities surrounding biopolymers production from microbes.

ESBP 2019 will focus on recent developments in the area of biopolymer production, biopolymer engineering, characterization and processing but also on the numerous applications of biopolymeric materials in a variety of fields, including medicine and medical devices, smart materials, coatings, personal care products, structural materials, agro food and agriculture, and many other areas.
The main spotlight of ESBP will be on biopolymers like polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), polysaccharides such as cellulose, alginates and others, but also on cyanophicin, poly phosphate, rubber (polyisoprene), etc. and how synthetic biology can contribute to optimize their production and properties.
